In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

But beyond her many talents, she’s someone who has learned to question what it really means to succeed. Inspired by her family’s sacrifices and her own inner drive, Cherry invites others to rethink perfection and embrace a more meaningful, personal definition of growth.

Student + Mental Health Advocate
Emma is a mental health advocate dedicated to helping young people feel understood and supported. As a Grade-7 student, she enjoys photography, reading different genres of books, and writing poems. She hopes to inspire more open, honest conversations about emotional wellness among young people.

Eva Young

Student + Harpist + Skier
Eva Young is a Grade 3 student in Vancouver. Beyond the classroom, she’s happiest skiing down snowy slopes, running on the track, and playing classical pieces on her harp. Always curious to explore new adventures, she embraces each challenge with energy and heart, reminding us all what it really means to keep growing.

Mohsin is a focused student-athlete who brings strategic thinking and dedication to every soccer match. Equally passionate about aviation, he builds FPV drones and spends hours honing his skills on flight simulators. He is curious and driven - always exploring new ways to grow on and off the field.

Known for his humor and quiet determination, Nick blends discipline with exploration in everything he does. His fresh perspective challenges us to think beyond the rules we’re handed and inspires us to own the story we’re writing for ourselves.

Ronnie is a curious, artsy, and multilingual 10-year-old. When she’s not dancing ballet, designing 3D creations, or practicing piano, she loves reading graphic novels, playing chess, and inventing fun projects with her brothers.

Terrence Yang

Student Entrepreneur
Terrence is a middle school student from Guangzhou whose interest in entrepreneurship has led him to take part in business competitions and think about solutions for global challenges like climate change. He uses AI as a creative tool to write acrostic poems, produce movies, and develop unique projects.

Thomas Jiang

Student + Ornithologist
Thomas is a Grade 4 student at St. George’s School who loves strategy games like Go and chess. He also enjoys playing soccer, practicing piano, and creating art. Thomas has a special interest in animals, especially birds, and is always eager to discover new ways to learn about and care for them.

William Ji

Student + Table Tennis Athlete
William is a curious and multi-talented student. Alongside playing on the national table tennis team, he also shines in opera singing and modern dancing. Whether he’s practicing, performing, or just chasing after his twin brothers, William embodies a spirit of joy, discipline, and fearless learning.

Zoey Yu

Zoey is an imaginative and endlessly curious 8-year-old who loves reading mystery books, writing her own detective stories, and doodling out-of-this-world creatures. When she's not solving snack-time mysteries, she enjoys gymnastics, drawing, and inventing hilarious characters with her friends. She believes every kid has a superpower hidden inside their imagination waiting to be unleashed.
