Our incredible community will take the stage to share their ideas on this year’s theme: Look Closer.

This event invites us to slow down and reconsider what we think we already know. So much of our world is shaped by the things we overlook: habits we don’t question, moments we rush past, stories we tune out. By looking closer, we begin to notice the details that shift our understanding and expand our sense of what’s possible.

Through talks that begin in everyday experience, such as curiosity, health, identity, and protest, our speakers show how reflection can reveal new meaning.

Join us for a day of close listening, fresh ideas, and unexpected discoveries!

Speakers

Speakers may not be confirmed. Check event website for more information.

Junghu Oh

Student at Sangmyeong Elementary School
Junghu is an observer of tiny details. From birds’ nests to the motion of swings, his talk explains how noticing the world closely can unlock creativity and insight. He encourages everyone to slow down, look carefully, and think like a genius.

Junho Shin

Student at Bulam Elementary School
Junho has a unique take on self-care: start by paying attention to your poop. Blending humor and science, his talk uncovers how digestive health reflects our daily choices and overall well-being. Junho proves that even the "gross" things can teach us something important—and maybe even change our lives.

Seoyoon Hwang

Student at Bulam Elementary School
Seoyoon turns everyday shopping into a journey of self-discovery. In her talk, she demonstrates how choosing your clothes can help shape your identity and build confidence. With Coco Chanel as her inspiration, she encourages young people to trust their taste and express who they are—one outfit at a time.

Woobin Jung

Student at Eulji Elementary School
Woobin believes in the power of a loud, united voice. Drawing on stories from civil rights to climate strikes, his talk shows how change begins with simple acts of courage—like holding up a sign. He invites his audience to stop saying, “We’re just kids,” and start saying, “We’re the next leaders.”

Woojin Cho

Student at Kumsung Elementary School
Woojin is a naturally curious student who sees the world through big questions. In his talk, he explores how staying curious—just like Jane Goodall—can lead to discovery and understanding. Woojin reminds us that curiosity doesn’t fade with age unless we let it.

Yeonsoo Cho

Student at Bulam Elementary School
Yeonsoo proudly calls herself a “troublemaker”—someone who asks questions, mixes weird drinks, and accidentally discovers new ideas. In her talk, she shows how creativity often begins with a mess. Inspired by The Magic School Bus, she celebrates the power of bold mistakes and wild imaginations.
