In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Momo Takanashi

Born in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, in 2006, raised in Aichi Prefecture. Loves Ramune, music, comedy, and clothes, and his hobbies are visiting second-hand clothing stores and going for walks. He is interested in social issues and areas he is unfamiliar with. Currently a first-year student at Aichi Gakuin University's School of Policy Studies. He studied abroad in Canada from January of his first year of high school to December of his second year, and gained a future goal. Since returning to Japan, he has been working steadily, mainly as a volunteer, with the aim of creating a world where no one has to give up their dreams due to poverty.

Ryushin Mishima

Nagara Park Illumination 2023 Executive Committee Chairman

Born in Gifu City, Japan, in 2006. A first-year university student who likes to go out but is not good at sports. He could not forget the Nagara Park illuminations (2001-2009) that he saw as a child, and when he entered a nearby high school, he decided to revive them with his own hands. He called on nearby high schools and established an executive committee. After making preparations with his friends, he brought the event back for the first time in 14 years in 2023. He is currently studying at a university with the aim of becoming a teacher in order to teach children the power to put their dreams into action.
