He’s drawn to the patterns in the cosmos and the questions that science invites us to ask. Outside the classroom, Lim finds joy in vocal expression, theatre, and the performing arts. Whether he’s performing on stage or singing low bass in his choir, he values the way performance can connect people and bring ideas to life. As a speaker at TEDxPangyo Youth, Lim looks forward to sharing his perspective on the world around us -- and beyond.

Minjoo Kim

Sophomore at Seoul International School
As a student at Seoul International School, I have long been fascinated by the nature of mathematics. As well as mathematics in nature. Ever since I was young, I have wondered: is math something we invented to make sense of the world, or is it something that is inherently woven into nature? From the number of sunflower petals that match a particular sequence to the shape of snowflakes that form a perfect symmetry, nature seemed to be oddly related to math. I'm amazed by how the abstract ideas of math manifest so precisely in the physical world. In my talk, I hope to explore this connection further, and leave you wondering whether math is just a tool we use, or a hidden code embedded into the universe itself.

Sean Chung

Junior at Seoul International School
Hi, my name is Sean. I am a student currently in Seoul Intl, and I love public speaking and debate as a whole. I started speech and debate all the way back when I was still in the start of middle school, and continued all the way throughout high school until now. I dedicated myself towards mostly debate tournaments, and earned accolades in rigorous tournaments like Oldham Cup, Oxford Schools, PWSDC, and much more. I am also currently enrolled in the SIS Forensic program for the first time as a parliamentary speaker, and won 2nd place there as well. Beyond my accomplishments however, I want to have a positive impact in TEDx and bring intriguing yet unique ideas to the table. I look forward to my experience at TEDx and wish the best for everyone that is involved in it, whether that be as a participant, audience, or a future candidate.
