In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Jas Kalra

President, Earth Saviour Foundation

Jas Kalra joined The Earth Saviours Foundation as Vice President in August 2021 at just 21 years old, working under the inspiring leadership of his father, the organisation’s President. Tragically, only four months later, in December 2021, his father passed away, leaving Jas to shoulder the immense responsibility of caring for 450 people. Despite this sudden loss, Jas committed himself wholeheartedly to the Foundation’s mission. Under his leadership, the organisation now provides care for over 1,400 abandoned senior citizens, mentally disabled individuals, and deprived women—whom he describes as “super-privileged” for their remarkable resilience. In honour of his father’s vision, Jas is spearheading the construction of what will be the world’s largest free-of-cost shelter home, designed to accommodate 5,000 residents. Supported by a tireless team and the blessings of well-wishers, his dedication ensures the Foundation’s mission of selfless service continues to grow stronger each day.

Mira Swarup is a Communication Coach and Speaker who helps professionals transform presence into influence. Her work is rooted in a belief she grew up with in her Sikh household, that service (seva) and giving strengthen both individuals and communities. Shivansh Gupta is a 17-year-old international debate champion, economics researcher and student changemaker from Gurgaon, India. Shivansh has been crowned Champion or Finalist at top global tournaments, including those hosted by Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, Cambridge, Georgetown, and Toronto, winning over 50 international awards. He founded The Teen Debater, a Government of India-registered nonprofit that has trained over 10,000 students across 250+ schools, run 300+ hours of free debate sessions, and reached 1 million+ people through social media, podcasts, and resources. Beyond debate, Shivansh is a published researcher in economics with faculty from Oxford, Columbia, and Wesleyan College, and helped develop financial literacy curricula for 40,000+ women in partnership with the Indian government. He also led Team India at South Africa’s Eskom ISF, winning Gold and Best in Engineering for his Parkinson’s innovation, ParkinStep.
